2D scanning maps: Optimization of Common Rail Injection Duration fi and Injection Timing qi in view of limitation (p_max < 130 bar; p_inj max < 1650 bar).

  • Goal function is Summary Emission (SE) of PM and NOx.
  • Allowable area is yellow filled.
  • Optimal area with minimum emission level SE is blue-green filled.
  • Selected point for controlling algorithm forming is marked with black rhomb.
  • Injection pressure p_inj is a pressure before nozzles.

Allowable area has not common site with optimal area. Optimal solution is point formed by crossing lines of p_max=130 bars and p_inj=1650 bars.  
This point is near  to optimal area.

Optimal area has common site with allowable area. Limit of max. cyl. pressure is not critical. The acceptable SFC can be achieved with injection pressure 1500 bars, maximal injection pressure is not required.
